Set nearly 2000 years in the future, the Milky Way Galaxy is populated by countless inhabited worlds. The majority of these worlds house a diverse group of peoples called Anasians (pronounced “An-ay-zhe-ins”); created by an ancient and mysterious species called the Zhed’Faldei that evolved beyond a corporeal form millions of years ago before seeding the precursors of intelligent life across the Galaxy. All bipedial, humanoid life across the Milky Way that are descended from the creations of the Zhed’Faldei are considered Anasians, including the Human race. While Humans were descended from apes, other Anasians were descended from various creatures that were suitable for the worlds that they were seeded upon. On Earth it was apes, but on other worlds, felids, canids, reptiles, avians and many others were the species that the Zhed’Faldei gave the gift of evolution and sentience to. Across the span of millennia, these Anasian peoples developed societies, cultures, civilizations and technology unique to each world. Once they began to venture off of their homeworlds, they met other Anasians. Some cultures met and became friends, some became trade partners, and some became mortal enemies. But all of them eventually differentiated into three vast interstellar civilizations, the Anasian Confederation, the Phalanaxian Empire, and the Reptilian Alliance. Within these societies are many smaller nations, worlds, and organizations, all living and working, fighting and dying together in the vast Anasian Universe.
