This website was created by members of the furry community who want to create a multi-vendor e-commerce platform for and by the Furry community. The condition of the internet over the past decade has given us many new options to share this community’s vast creative talent with the world. Despite this, many in our community who make a living off of their creative works are often not considered in the decision making of the big online marketplaces. Price increases and other issues prevent members of our community from making what they are worth with their endeavors. We understand how much time, energy and effort go into making the amazing things that you do, and Aja Crafts was made for all of you.
Our philosophy is that we are, first and foremost, to be a resource for the community. Charging sudden fees and commission percentage increases not only hurts the makers, it hurts the marketplace. This is why Aja Crafts charges a flat 8% commission fee per transaction. No extra fees, costs or anything of the sort after this. This applies to all items, no matter their cost. We have no intent on increasing this, either. The reason to have a site like this is to empower you, the makers, to be able to have your own platform at an affordable rate.
For those of you who are looking for another marketplace to sell your services and wares, let me tell you a little more about what we do. Our site, like the other larger sites, allows you to create your own online marketplace. There are no sign-up fees of any kind, either. Again, we only charge 8% per transaction, that’s it. Registration is quick, easy and free! From your Vendor Dashboard, you can create products, and set up pricing, shipping options, taxes, and much more. From there you can keep track of your purchases, payment information, and personal information (all of which is kept absolutely private), and favorite vendors. Aja Crafts at first glance may appear similar to other marketplace sites, which was part of the idea. However, what makes us different is that while one half of Aja Crafts centers around the makers of Furry creative works, the other half is focused on general professional work that members of the community wish to offer. This can be anything from web and graphic design, to software engineering, game development, automotive work, and anything else that is tied into a legitimate professional service. The Furry community is full of talented people from all professions and walks of life. This is one of the things that makes the community so unique! It is important to us here at Aja Crafts to make sure that these important members of the Furry community are included here as well.
